History
My interest in my family name started in the early 1980s. The idea of a Rowden
Surname web site developed from increasing email contact with others searching
out Rowdens, initiated in the mid 1990s. The website was 'born' in 1997 and has
been under steady development ever since. Its purpose is to provide a wide range
of assistance and encouragement to those researching the Rowden surname and its
variant spellings worldwide; to help anyone wishing to discover their Rowden
