This site has formed a link with a Rowden group on Facebook. Recognising the ablility to make contacts the world over Rowden Surname has teamed up with the Rowden Family Global Group created by Chris Rowden. If you have a Facebook account make sure to add this group to your links.

The Web now contains a vast amount of genealogical information and genealogy is reputed to be the second most popular reason for access to it. However one of the difficulties is that it is not often easy to find the information for which you are searching.

There are a number of places to learn about what is available and one of the prime sites in the UK is at GenUKi. Here you can get off to a good start with some helpful introductions.

Other methods involve using a search site to find references to a particular word or phrase. These give various degrees of success but can be tailored for specific requests. Yahoo!, Excite, Lycos, Google, are just some the search facilities available. Entering one of these search tools with your surname is a recommended starting point.
